Following treatment, there may be some bruising, and some patients may develop a temporary headache. Patients may be asked to remain upright for a few hours to avoid massaging the treated areas and to avoid taking specific vitamins or medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or vitamin E for at least 24 hours. Aftercare instructions will be tailored to your specific needs.
Results usually become noticeable after a few days or within one or two weeks. Neurotoxin treatments are temporary, and the effects will gradually diminish, requiring repeat injections for maintenance, if desired.
